The Ocean City Barons are a minor league soccer franchise that play in the top U23 men’s amateur league in North America; the USL Premier Development League (PDL). The 2007 campaign features a 63-team format within four conferences, consisting of 16 regular season matches. The schedule is augmented by participation in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Players have the ability to compete in the PDL throughout the summer months in a professionalized setting while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. The South Jersey Barons Youth Academy is a 501c3 Non-for Profit Organization that offers a competitve level of soccer for children between 8 and 20 years of age. The SJB Youth Academy is based in Winslow Twp and consists of 20 boys and girls teams. The teams compete in local and regional leagues, tournament and State Cups.
