Looking to improve your grades? How about your score on the dreaded SAT’s? SJEB is proud to announce a new program designed to provide private tutoring to players in need of an academic boost. As SJEB coaches we highly stress to players and parents the importance of grades and the amazing future that our players can have when they combine achievement on the field with achievement in the classroom. If your player is struggling with their Language Arts requirements or if your player is looking to increase their SAT or PSAT score in Literacy please feel free to inquire about our new tutoring program by contacting SJEB coach Ian Simmons at isimmons@sjbarons.com.

The South Jersey Elite Barons U23 Men’s team will be holding tryouts in January and March of 2012 for the summer of 2012. This year the team will be coached and run by Boys Technical Director Scott Middlemass. The SJEB U23 Program is for dedicated college players who want a high level of training and competition during the summer. Last year the SJEB U23’s won the MSSL U23 Summer League. SJEB U23 player Joey Auleta has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Mens Soccer Rookie Of The Year. Joey played in 24 games and started 23 for the Rutgers Camden Raptors scoring 6 goals and notching 6 assists. The Raptors had their best ever season (19-3-2) and reached the DIII Elite Eight, won the NJAC Mens Soccer Championsip, finished ranked #5 in the nation. Auleta was also neamed to the NJAC 2nd Team. SJEB Alumni (91 Girls) and current U20 player Kira Kliment (Alleghaney College) has been named to the NSCAA D3 All-America 2nd Team. Mellissa Sanger (90 Girls) was named to the NSCAA D1 All-Mid Atlantic Regional 2nd Team.

The South Jersey Elite Barons U12 Girls won the Fall MAPS Cup by beating Westfield SA 3-2, Matchfit Revolution 3-1, Lehigh Valley United 3-0 and Jackson Herricanes 5-0 moving them up to #10 in the rankings.

The club had a succesful Columbus Day Tournament weekend with four teams claiming a championship. The club had three winners at the Fredricks Premier Cup hosted by Kirkwood Soccer Club in the U9, U10 and U12 Girls brackets, and the U11 Boys won at the YMS Columbus Cup. Congratulations to coaches and players on their achievements.
