Despite falling 1-0 to Alpharetta United in the SYL National Semi-Final the South Jersey Barons U18 Boys played some dazzling soccer and won a lot of plaudits from coaches, spectators and opponents. They steam rolled their way through the group stages with a 5-0 win over Northern Virginia Royals, a 3-1 win over Toronto Lynx, and a 2-0 win over MPS Bulldogs. In the semi-final they played Alpharetta from Georgia who gave the boys a tough game, but despite applying plenty of pressure and having good spells of possession the goal scoring touch deserted them. Well done to Coach Brown and the lads for a great tournament. Click here to read the USL report on the semi final game.
