COCOA, FLORIDA - The third week of SYL ODP identification camps has concluded at the Cocoa Expo Center, over 340 players attended representing clubs from all over the United States and Canada. The camp was a great success for two South Jersey Banshees U15 players who were selected to the National Select team.
In the ’92 age group Shea Levi (Williamstown H.S.) was selected to the National Select Team along with 15 other players, there were 150 ’92 players at the camp. In the ’93/’94 age group Jessica Figueroa (Mainland H.S.) was selected as a Goalkeeper, there were 22 Goalkeepers at the camp in her age group. Both Jessica and Shea play for the South Jersey Banshees U15 team.
"We are very proud of these players" said Technical Director Scott Middlemass "They had to prove their worth against some of the best players in the country. To stand out amongst this level of talent is a testement to their skills. Their performances this weekend have put them in the elite catagory, and thats something special".
The final week of camp begins on Thursday February 7th, this time it will be the turn of the ’92, ’93 and ’94 Boys. The Barons will be represented by Giovanni Tacconelli (Lenape H.S/Barons U16), Terrell White (Rancocas Valley H.S./Barons U16), Mackenzie Scott (Middle Twp/Barons U16), JT Maurer (St. Joes Prep/Barons U15), Bobby Briggs (Barons U14), Rich Ongaro (Barons U14).
