The South Jersey Barons Under 14 Boys came away from the MAPS Fall Challenge as with another tournament title. The U14 Boys won all 4 games, scoring Nine goals and conceding only One. The boys showed some quality possession in every game and showed some excellent toughness on defence.
The boys have won two tournaments and were runners up in their third tournament of the U14 season so far. Even more impressive was the way they handled a new formation and style of play for the tournament. Coach Thompson reverted from the usual 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 with great succes.
The Barons began with a 3-0 win over runners-up Battle of Monmouth. They then recorded a 0-0 draw with Medford Strikers. The boys then stamped their authority on the tournament with a 2-0 and 3-1 wins over Jesrey Knights and HUV respectively. Every player made an impact over the weekend and the results were testement to the hard work each player has put into the ’07 fall season.
