| Chris as a U9 Baron. |
My name is Chris Ferrari and I came to the Barons as one of the youngest players to ever come to the club. I am 12 years old and am in my fourth season with the club. At age 9 I tried out and made my first Barons team. That year I played as a U-11 player. That team I was playing for is the current U-14 team. There are only a few kids on the team now that were on it when I played for them, like Collin and Markos. That year I had coach Magic and Coach Byron. This was my first travel team that I played for. Before playing there I played rec soccer for Oaklyn where I live.
After that season I went with the U-12 black team where I played for the past two and a half seasons. Everett, Alec and Boog went with me also. On that team I made many friends and had Coach Scott for two full seasons. I was still playing up one age but I was learning the game and having a lot of fun with the te

am. Coach Scott taught me a lot about playing soccer. I learned how to pass the ball in tight spaces and how to use foot work. I played mostly striker for those two years but some mid-field.
The third year on that team we got Coach Neil. We won some tournaments and ended up playing in the Olympic division. Each season we got better and were getting further in each of the State Cup tournaments. I played mostly outside mid-field this season. Neil taught me a lot of different things. He taught me how to finish and cross the ball.
This season I started with my third team to be able to play age appropriate. I am now on the U-12 team and have Coach Scott and Coach Joe. I will miss my friends I played with the past few years but I look forward to playing with my new team. This will be my third team and I have now had 5 different trainers since coming with the Barons. I have also played with over 40 different team mates. I think this experience of having different trainers and team mates made me a better player.
I like the travel tournaments like Kirkwood and the Poconos the most. It is fun being away with your team mates. My experience with the Barons has been very good. I hope to play soccer in high school and college. One day I would like to play for the PDL team.
