2008 Summer Camp Schedule
 South Jersey Pro Soccer will be runnning several camps in the South Jersey community during the summer of 2008. The increasingly popular Position Specific camps are now in to their 4th season and will run again in 2008.
The Ocean City Barons will again be running camps in Ocean City during July and August and we will also be running camps with our affiliated local travel soccer clubs in South Jersey. For further information regarding venues, times and cost CLICK HERE.
Reading FC partners with Barons
EPL side features two U.S. internationals, including Philadelphia native Bobby Convey
 In a landmark agreement, the South Jersey Barons organization, fronted by their Premier Development League (PDL) club, the Ocean City Barons, have formed a partnership with Reading Football Club of the English Premier League (EPL). As part of the agreement, which was organized through Reading’s "Football in the Community Trust" program, the "Royals" will send some of their coaches to lend their expertise and help run the Barons’ youth academy camp in August. Also, Reading FC will continue to host the Barons’ youth teams during Easter weekend, as they expose the young players to some of the top facilities at one of the elite youth development clubs in the EPL. 
SJPS Open Summer Camp
July 7th - 11th, 2008
Description: This camp is open to all players, and will focus on all aspects of the game developed in small sided, fun based activities and games. The coaches will touch on many aspects of the game over the week such as technique, creativity, passing, recieving, shooting and small side tactics.

SJPS Defender Camp
July 14th - 18th, 2008
Description: The defender camp covers the basic art of defending, each player will be taught techniques specific to defending. Topics covered include positioning, movement, support play, recovery runs, heading, tackling, passing, clearing, possession, playing out of the back, and communication and pressure-cover-balance.
Venue: Winslow High/Middle School.
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm.
Ages: 7yrs - 16yrs.

SJPS Midfielder Camp
July 21st - 25th, 2008
Description: This camp is specifically designed to improve the skills necessary to play in Midfield. The Midfield camp will cover positioning, movement, attacking, defending, passing, creativity, shooting, crossing, switching play, transitional play, creating space, wide play and inside center midfield play.
Venue: Winslow High/Middle School.

SJPS/Galloway TWP Soccer Camp
July 21st - 25th, 2008
Recreation Camp Description: An introductory soccer program for developing players, this camp provides each child with age-appropriate instruction on the fundamental skills of soccer. This camp is loads of fun with plenty of games, competitions.
Venue: Gabriel Field, Galloway TWP.
Time: 5:30am - 8:30pm.
Ages: 7yrs - 14yrs.
Cost: $150.

Pee Wee Camp Description: Our Pee Wee soccer camp is introduces children to basics of soccer, players get plenty of interaction with the ball playing age appropriate games.

SJPS Forwards and Goalkeeper Camp

Description: This camp is designed specifically for goalkeepers and goal scorers. The finishing academy will cover areas including positioning, ball striking, agility, speed and heading while the goalkeeping academy will focus on positioning, handling, agility, coordination, distribution and decision-making.

Description: South Jersey Pro Soccer will be running a camp for the players registered with Glassboro Soccer Club Travel teams. The camp will be ideal for players to prepare them for the upcoming Fall season. The camp will focus on individual technique and increase the players knowledge of the game.

SJPS/Deptford Soccer Camp
August 11th - 15th, 2008
Description: SJPS are offering a position specific camp for players registered with the Deptford Soccer Club. Players can take part in a weeks training focusing on a specific aspect of the game. We will be offering a Defender, Midfielder, Forward, and Goalkeeper during this week of camp.

Barons & Banshees Soccer Camp
August 18th - 22nd, 2008
 Description: This camp is for all players who are members of the South Jersey Barons and Banshees U8 - U14 Boys and Girls teams. The camp is a pre-season camp to prepare the teams for the upcoming Fall season. We are very pleased to announce that we will be joined by two proffesional coaches from Reading Football Club (English Premier League) who will be working with the players at the camp.

OC Barons Camper Lifts Carling Cup
Sturman family have a day to remember
 London, England - Regular Ocean City Barons Summer Campers Micheal and John Sturman had the good fortune to be invited along with their father Jim Sturman to the Tottenham Hotspur post match celebrations after they beat Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. Jim is a Barrister employed indendantly by Everton, Chelsea, Newcastle, West Ham, and Tottenham Hotspur, he and his family spend the summer in Ocean City as the boys mother, Mara hails from Philadelphia.
Barons to become Nike club in '08
PDL team to debut new kits on May 11
The South Jersey Barons have entered into an agreement with Nike and Ewing Sports to be the official partner and apparel supplier for the club. Fans will be introduced to the new look this summer when the Ocean City Barons Premier Development League (PDL) team will debut the new kits on May 11 when they host the Newark Ironbound Express at Carey Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
After the PDL team’s season concludes in August, the rest of the Barons organization will be wearing "the swoosh" on their jerseys, bags, and shirts.
First Touch Program Concludes
 The South Jersey Pro Soccer First Touch Training has come to its conclusion and after 8 weeks of technical improvement the players are ready to begin their 2008 seasons. Over 140 players registered for the training which took place at the state of the art indoor facility in Egg Harbor City,
